ULTEM, also known as PEI, is a high-performance thermoplastic with excellent high temperature resistance, mechanical strength and chemical resistance. Due to its high strength and heat resistance, ULTEM is prone to generate large heat during cutting, requiring the use of appropriate cutting parameters and cooling methods. Here are some of its key features:

• High temperature resistance: long-term use temperature can reach more than 170°C, short-term temperature can reach more than 200°C.
• High strength and rigidity: harder than many engineering plastics, while having good impact resistance.
• Excellent chemical resistance: PEI CNC Machining Parts can resist the erosion of a variety of chemicals, such as alcohols, hydrocarbons and weak acids and bases.
• Machinability: It can be processed by CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing, etc
